The Frist Center, which originally opened in 1934 as Nashville's downtown post office, not only houses masterworks, but is a masterpiece itself. An exceptionally elegant expression of Art Deco style, it's not just a beautiful space, but a space in time. And it's the only space in Nashville your group can share with the world's great masters.

A Versatile Venue
You'll find that the Frist Center is one of Nashville's most accommodating venues. The atmosphere, the exhibitions, and the variety of meeting spaces offer unique surroundings and options for a range of events—from  birthdays and small meetings to cocktail receptions, banquets, private dinners, wedding and wedding receptions, multi-media presentations, and even musical performances—all amid an ever-changing array of world-renowned works of art. Your group can even enjoy a full "run of the house," with exclusive, after-hours access to all galleries.

The Frist Center puts your group in the middle of everything: great music, great entertainment, great fun. And, of course, great art. You're in the vibrant heart of Nashville, just a short stroll from the new Country Music Hall of Fame and the Ryman Auditorium. It's a stone's throw from downtown hotels, the Nashville Convention Center, and the Sommet Center. And it's within easy walking distance of the famed music venues, excellent restaurants, and bustling nightlife of Nashville's downtown.

Space Rental Information
The Frist Center is open daily except New Year's, Thanksgiving and Christmas Days. Normal operating hours are Monday–Wednesday and Saturday: 10:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; Thursday and Friday: 10:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m.; and Sundays: 1:00–5:30 p.m. After-hours rental fees apply to all events that take place either entirely or partially when the facility is closed to the public.

Rental Fee Information
Rental fees include the use of designated space, security, use of available Frist Center chairs and tables and the presence of an event manager during the event. Nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status will receive a discount.

Space rental is based on a four-hour maximum. Additional expenses may apply if the event exceeds the time period described in the rental agreement. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for events scheduled in December.

Note: numbers listed are maximum capacity. Additional activities planned in the designated space(s), (i.e., bars, food/beverage or display tables, dance floor, head tables, etc.), will reduce guest capacity of the room.

* The Auditorium banquet seating capacity is based on 192 with the use of The Frist Center's 60 inch round tables and chairs. Rental chairs will allow rounds of 10 for 240 seats.
